Brooklyn, NY (AHN) — A Brooklyn, New York baby is not only born with two extra fingers but he also supports extra toes.
A healthy Jeshuah Fuller, who weighed 7 pounds, was born on Tuesday with polydactylism, a rare genetic condition.
The baby has six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. Jeshuah’s mom, Quana Morris, said she’d had an ultrasound image taken during her pregnancy and was aware he’d have extra fingers, she told the Daily News.
However, the extra toes came as a surprise. The tradition of extra fingers run in Jeshuah’s family, as his dad was born with an extra finger on his left hand.
The multi-fingered baby will however have all the extra fingers surgically removed in a couple of weeks, his mom said.
